From 9d63287a461c269edb39941744f4ff22223cf349 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: =?utf8?q?Uwe=20Kleine-K=C3=B6nig?= Date: Sat, 28 Mar 2009 00:26:58 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] [MTD] [NAND] move gen_nand's probe function to .devinit.text MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit A pointer to plat_nand_probe is passed to the core via platform_driver_register and so the function must not disappear when the .init sections are discarded. Otherwise (if also having HOTPLUG=y) unbinding and binding a device to the driver via sysfs will result in an oops as does a device being registered late. An alternative to this patch is using platform_driver_probe instead of platform_driver_register plus removing the pointer to the probe function from the struct platform_driver.
